| Seti, "The White Water River":
|
Damauli, the put in point is roughly 160 Kilometers west
(6 hours of drive) from Kathmandu. After the rafts are
rigged, you set off down the Seti Khola, a tributary of
the Sapta (seven) Gandaki River system. You spend the
whole day within its forested canyon. The next day you
encounter a technical rapid graded between 3-5. At the
end, you reach at Devghat, one of the famous pilgrim sites
in Nepal. Thousands of pilgrims visit the river and the
Ashram to worship every year. The Kali Gandaki joins the
Trisuli at this point and becomes the Narayani. This trip
can be easily combined with wildlife safari tour to the
Royal Chitwan National Park.
