This has been one of the best managed trips I have taken. I have been struck by the expertise and experience of everyone, from the owner, Chandra, to the guide, Kedar. Every detail of the trip was well managed things were as they had been explained to me. I was well taken care of.
I couldn’t help but compare this to a trip to Spain in 2005. It was nowhere near as well organized as this was, and the level of expertise was certainly not present.
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It was challenging and beautiful and extremely satisfying. The expertise of the guide made the more challenging parts totally manageable for me. This was one of my best vacations. I loved it!

We have known Mr. Chandra, Managing Director of NEAT for 8 years and have come to Nepal for 5 treks, including the Annapurna Circuit and Everest Base Camp. We have found NEAT to be a very professionally operated and totally trustworthy Nepalese company. NEAT guides and porters ensured we had good accommodation and have always been happy to share their knowledge of Nepal with us. We have thoroughly enjoyed all our treks with NEAT.

We are writing to let others know about the fantastic time we had trekking in Nepal under the care and guidance of Chandra Tamang and his Kathmandu based company Nepal Experienced Adventure Treks (NEAT).
In November and December 2008 we undertook 21 day trek through the Annapurna circuit with Chandra’s company.
There were four of us in the party, three of us aged in our 40s/50s . We were in pretty good physical shape but knew that it was a demanding walk. Our priority was to complete the whole circuit and have the flexibility to undertake side trips if we were making good time and our body’s were holding up okay.
We were put onto Chandra by friends who had twice been to Nepal and trekked with Chandra ( the first time with Chandra as their guide). Chandra gets most of his clients through word of mouth from satisfied customers and so his survival depends upon offering a good service. Chandra is very experienced and has a vast trekking knowledge, having been involved in trekking for many years. Chandra also has a very good understanding of western tourists and their holiday expectations.
We were very impressed by Chandra’s service. He was very accessible by email and was quick to respond. His emails provided detailed information and he was happy to answer all and any questions. His prices were competitive. He was also very flexible and happy to accommodate our various requests regarding side trips.
Like most people going to Nepal for the first time and doing all the organisation via email, we were a bit nervous about what to expect. Chandra, very quickly put us at ease from the moment he met us at the airport. Chandra’s friendly and warm nature was quickly evident. He is a very engaging man and we felt comfortable in his presence.
We spent time prior to the trek at his office, meeting his staff, drinking tea, checking our emails, and going over everything we needed to know. He patiently answered our questions and explored various options with us. He also gave us lots of practical advice about other things to do in Kathmandu, where to change money etc.
Because Chandra relies on word of mouth for clients, his priority was to ensure that we had an excellent and safe holiday. That meant he was flexible in his plans and was prepared to spend time discussing options and exploring possibilities. Our safety was a high priority for him.
The trip was well organised and we were provided with an excellent guide who had outstanding local knowledge and made a priority of ensuring our trekking experience was both safe and memorable. We had an amazing 21 days on the Annapurna circuit.
We were also very impressed by Chandra’s passion for empowering Nepalese people. He has set up a charitable organisation to support an isolated local village. His company trains and employs people from the village thus providing real practical support. It was nice to know that our money was supporting local Nepalese people.
We have no hesitation in recommending Chandra and his company NEAT if you are contemplating travel to Nepal and are looking for a well organised trip, professional and friendly service and want an experience that brings you in direct contact with local business and people.
We would be happy to discuss any of these matters further with you if you require further information.
Hope you have the same amazing time trekking In Nepal that we had.
Yours sincerely
